MEET THE COACH
I’m Nick Fish — a WRU Level 3 Coach (currently working towards Level 4) with 15 years of scrum coaching experience.
Right now, I’m an Academy Forwards Coach with the Welsh Rugby Union - based in RGC. Previously I have been Forwards Coach at Aberavon RFC (Super Rugby Cymru) , Scrum Coach Cardiff University (BUCS Super Rugby). My previous coaching journey includes roles as Scrum Coach for Cardiff Regional Age Grade & Academy, Cardiff RFC, and Forwards Coach at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
For me, the scrum isn’t just part of the game — it is the game. Scrum has been my passion ever since I was able to pick up a rugby ball. While others loved passing and kicking, I fell in love with the contest up front. A neck injury ended my playing career at 21, but it only sharpened my drive to develop others and provide the tools to excel in the scrum.
